Beginning on July 1 Rev. Steve Proctor will be the pastor of BUMC. Rev. Proctor grew up in Broadway, Va and graduated form Broadway High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and received his Business Administration degree from James Madison University. Steve worked in the corporate world for nine years before receiving his call to ministry. Steve received his Masters of Divinity Degree from the Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. and went on to complete his doctorate in Wesleyan Studies.

Rev. Proctor has served churches in Mt. Jackson, Virginia Beach, and New Market and is currently serving at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Vienna, Va.

Steve's wife, Debbie, graduated from JMU with a Masters of Music Education. She was the choral director in Prince William County for 25 years. Debbie is currently an active conductor, adjudicator and clinician for several music organizations.

Steve and Debbie have five children and three grandchildren and are excited to be coming to BUMC.
