The Lord God is leading us and guiding us always. How might we determine as individuals and as a congregation what God is saying to us? How can we deepen our spiritual discernment together? As we come together this Sunday, let us listen for God's wisdom.
This Sunday, we will gather to worship the Lord! We will worship at 8:30 AM & 11 AM. This week is Fourth Sunday Coffee, sponsored by Reach and Relate. Sunday School classes will continue. There will be Kid's Time at both services. Nursery and Children's Church are back!
Our focus scriptures this Sunday are Psalm 111 and Mark 1:21-28. Here is a link to the scripture readings: https://lectionary.library.

Thank you so much for your wonderful support of the shared ministry of the Children's Clothes Closet. With your help, we have served 1415 children, they have received items 4,714 times. Our diaper need has reached 121,202. None of this could have been accomplished without each of you. God is using you and this ministry in mighty ways. I'm looking forward to serving with you in 2024. I'm praying that all we do will bring honor and glory to our Lord and and will be a blessing to those he sends to us.

OLD NEWS: THANK YOU to all who came out on Saturday to serve chicken and dumplings, green beans, and apple crisp to our friends at Harrisonburg Baptist. We had a great turn out of youth and chaperone hands and our friends seemed to really enjoy the meal!! Thanks again!
February 3: Ice Skating! in us at 10am at Generations Park for Ice Skating for the whole family! We will also have doughnuts and hot chocolate! WE WILL BE HAVING A SHORT MEETING ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 28TH AT 3PM AT BUMC TO GO OVER THIS FUNDRAISER and ensure we will have enough help to make it happen! Calling Singers for Musical Production

Harrisonburg Baptist Church is sponsoring a production of The Witness, by Carol & Jimmy Owens as part of their Easter season 2024, which is open for community participation.
This narrated, choral, one--act biblical musical was written in 1978 by Carol & Jimmy Owens as a tool for presenting the gospel in song. The musical focuses on Peter's perspective and follows the gospel through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
This one hour production features Peter, his wife Mary, James and John, their mother, Judas, and a full choir ensemble. The Witness features a variety of songs that will spark both emotional and spiritual uplifting in celebration and remembrance of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Open on-call events for interested singers will be held January 13 & 14 at Harrisonburg Baptist Church. If you are interested, there is more information on the Community Bulletin Board. |

We ended 2023 with a deficit of ($2,893) as compared to a deficit in 2022 of ($59,815). This end of year performance in part is driven by a strong giving month in December and a YTD reduction in expenses in the amount of $38,508 (we did not pay $9,264 of our Va. Conference Apportionment). |

The Rockingham/Page County FSA Committee is seeking nominees for a County Committee Advisor from local farm groups to represent women and minority groups. This individual needs to be actively participating in farming/ranching, and would be responsible for attending meetings, participating in deliberations and increasing awareness.
