Questions & Answers
Q: What is a Contemporary worship service anyway?
A: Contemporary worship can mean many different things. The atmosphere is laid-back. The dress is casual. The music is modern. The setting is cozier, and more intimate. The worship itself is more upbeat. It is still a Christian service; it is simply a different style of worshipping God and proclaiming God’s word!

Q:
What is "praise music"?
A: Praise music is an integral part of our contemporary service. Praise music has a contemporary feel, with inspiring, yet simple lyrics. This music can be heard on popular Christian music radio stations and is personified by popular artists like Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns and Third Day.

Q: Why do you think Bridgewater needs a new worship opportunity?
A: Bridgewater has been a growing, thriving community with a diverse group of residents, including the Bridgewater College population. Some may not be comfortable with the formality and ritual they have experienced in more traditional services. We welcome all of these people to help shape our new worship experience! It is an alternative service, not meant to replace or supersede our Sunday morning Worship services.

Q: Why do it on Wednesday night?
A: Our goal is that this midweek service will accommodate those folks with busy Sunday morning schedules, like people who have to work on Sunday, are out of town on Sunday or have other family obligations on Sunday. It allows busy families and individuals an opportunity to worship together during the week.
